Bald Monkey Theatre is happy to announce that their second production A Tournament of Lies was received exceptionally well at the 2015 Toronto Fringe Festival. A Tournament of Lies is written by Halifax native Evan Wade Brown and focuses on the death of Alex Young. Alex’s friends and lovers gather at her memorial to make sense of her death. Once together, they compete between themselves to see who can grieve the best. How do you make sense of your life when the person who defined it is gone? A Tournament of Lies examines the unsavoury nature of grief, fragmentation of memory, and self-preservation. Every run of the show was sold out and the show received great praise from many Toronto reviewers such as Mooney On Theatre and Gay Theatre Toronto
Featuring: Owen Fawcett, Brandon Gillespie, Hannah Jack, Iain LaCourt, Sarah Marchand, Lindsey Middleton, Sarah Robbins, and Jonathan Walls.
Directed by Ben Hayward.
